New Fujifilm FinePix 600EXR Photo & Video Test Shoot in NYC

New Fujifilm FinePix F600 EXR Photo & Video Test Shoot in NYC from H and B Digital.com

The Fujifilm FinePix F600 EXR is an updated version of its popular F550 EXR raw-capable compact superzoom. The FujiFilm Finepix F600 EXR brand new compact superzoom features a back-illuminated 1/2″ 16MP EXR CMOS sensor, a 24-360mm equivalent zoom lens and a 3.0″ 460,000-dot LCD plus it gains a medley of feature enhancements as well, allowing users to make more of the camera’s capabilities.

The biggest improvement is a motion detection mode that allows the camera to increase the ISO to better capture moving subjects. If motion isn’t detected, the camera will use a lower ISO to maximize image quality. The camera contains an intelligent GPS which is also better utilized as well. With the addition of a Landmark Navigator mode, this camera can inform you of nearby landmarks as well as tagging them in your photos making it a versatile travel companion. It also features an ‘Intelligent Digital Zoom’ context-sensitive sharpening feature when up-sizing the cropped images shot in digital zoom mode, to reduce the loss of image quality. The camera also retains the F550’s Raw capability and 1080p30 HD movie shooting.

Other high-performance highlights found on the Fujifilm Finepix F600 EXR include the in-camera multi-stitched 360° panorama mode and a selection of Fujifilm film simulation modes and a trio of image improving shooting modes including EXR HR (utilizes all 16MP for maximum resolution), EXR DR (two bracketed exposures dynamically combined for improved highlight/shadow detail), and EXR SN (improved signal-to-noise ratios).
Currently, H and B Digital has The Fujifilm FinePix F600 EXR in a sleek, black color – we are still waiting on word from Fuji on when the other 3 colors are expect to arrive.

Thinnest 10x Zoom Compact Digital Camera: FujiFilm FinePix T300

Another New Fujifilm Release Now Available

Thinnest 10x ZOOM Digital Compact

High quality photography just got a whole lot more accessible thanks to the introduction of the new FinePix T300. One of two models that comprise Fujifilm’s new T series, the T300 presents the ideal solution for those who want to buy a well specified, easy to use and most importantly, world thinnest*1 10 times zoom compact camera to take on their travels or use to capture family life, but don’t want a hefty price tag to match.
  • *1 Researched by Fujifilm at 5th of January (comparing of the minimum depth)
The T300 offers a specification that few other models can match, including some of latest cutting edge technologies plucked from higher-end models in Fujifilm’s range.
Fujifilm FinePix T300 / T200 Key features:
  • 14 megapixels
  • 10x optical zoom covering 28 – 280 mm (a 35 mm camera equivalent)
  • 3.0 inch rear LCD with 230,000 pixels*3
  • CCD Shift type Image Stabilisation
  • Face recognition and Image Search
  • ISO 3200 maximum sensitivity
  • Slim body style available in five colours
  • Photobook Assist
  • Motion panorama
– OR –

High resolution, wide zoom range
With an impressive resolution of 14 megapixels, the FinePix T300 delivers files that can be printed out at A3 without the need for any software re-sizing. Equally impressive is the 10x zoom range, which stretches from 28 – 280 mm (35 mm equivalent). This powerful mix of features will ensure users can capture great image in no time, be they wide-angle land and cityscapes or closely cropped portraits and distant details.
In addition to the 10x zoom, the T300 also comes equipped with a powerful CCD shift Image Stabilisation (CIS) system that helps eliminate camera shake and deliver high quality images in a wide variety of lighting conditions.
CIS works during the exposure to counteract any hand movements. The result is an expanded range of shooting situations where the T300 can be used without the need for a tripod or other support. With CIS working hard in the background, you can capture sharp, colorful scenes and portraits at night. Plus, should the light be really low, the maximum sensitivity of ISO 3200*2 can be selected so you can keep shooting.
  • *2 Resolution reduced to three megapixels at ISO 3200
An easy to use model with premium features
Many photographers want to keep things simple when it comes to taking pictures and the T300 is an approachable, easy to use compact. But don’t think that you’re missing out on some of Fujifilm’s latest compact camera developments as a result. The FinePix T300 has a few technological tricks up its sleeve, including:
  • Photobook assist. Picking the pictures to go in a photobook can be time-consuming and it can be difficult to visualise what the final book will look like. Not anymore! The T300’s Photobook Assist feature allows you to tag images that you’d like to use in a photobook; you can even tag the front cover shot. Then, when you’ve made the selection, the camera will create a simulation of the photobook which you can view through on the rear LCD.
  • Motion panorama. Everybody likes shooting panoramic images, but no-one likes stitching them together afterwards on a PC. This mode makes shooting panoramas easy. Press the shutter release to start, rotate through and then the FinePix T300 will stitch all three shots together seamlessly. Capturing great panoramic shots has never been so fun — or easy!
  • Face recognition. This is a great feature if you shoot a lot of portraits. When a shot is taken, you can store the name of the person / people in the image. By doing this, the T300 will then automatically find other images on the memory card featuring the same person. Use the Image Search function and you’ll quickly be able to find all the shots of a specific individual.
  • HD video. For those situations when you want to capture movie footage instead of stills, the FinePix T300 offers 720p HD video at 30 frames per second.
A Large and High Resolution LCD
Compact dimensions, perhaps, but this hasn’t affected the size of the rear LCD, which measures an impressive three inches from corner. Images and menus are displayed in 230,000 dots glory, plus composition is easy on the large screen.
Slim and pocketable for easy portability
A heavy, bulky camera is the last thing you need when you’re trying to travel light. The T300 is just 28.1 mm thick and 97 mm wide (without the projection portion of the lens, it is 18.5 mm thick: minimum depth) so it’ll easily store in the corner of a travel bag or a jacket pocket. What’s more the camera is also available in five colours, so there’s bound to be one to suit your tastes.

A family of compacts

The FinePix T300 is just one of two models in the new T series range. It’s joined by the FinePix T200, which shares many of the same features, but an even smaller price tag.
Key differences between the two include a resolution of a smaller 2.7 inch rear LCD that uses 230,000 dots.

More About The FujiFilm FinePix F550EXR

Award winning EXR technology married with BSI-CMOS for breakthrough improvement.
“Shoot with beautiful quality and never miss the moment. “ -This is FujiFilm’s concept for EXR-CMOS and the backed up technologies behind are below.
High Sensitivity
With conventional sensor design, light has to pass through a layer of wiring before it reaches the photo diodes. This reduces the amount of light hitting the sensor. But with a BSI (Backside Illumination) sensor, the wiring layer and photo diodes are reversed so sensitivity is improved; a benefit that’s particularly obvious when shooting in low light conditions.
High Speed
Thanks to newly developed EXR Processor and BSI CMOS, super fast transfer circuit made it possible for fast process and reading the files. The real benefit here is; it can take high speed shooting and Full HD movie.
Intelligent Processor
The camera can now recognize 27 scenes including blue sky (sky), green leaves (greenery), sunsets and even backlit scenes. According to each scene, camera can set the perfect setting (AF, exposure, white balance and flash) and take the best quality picture automatically. Therefore, all you need to do is press the shutter and you will get the perfect finish easily.
The EXR processor also has the capability to spot and reduce purple colour fringing, most common on dark subjects against light backgrounds, and improves the resolution at the corners of an image for more uniform image sharpness.
Perhaps the most obvious benefit of the EXR processor, however, is the new Rich User Interface, which employs Vector fonts and graphics to dramatically improve the appearance of the menus. Users can wave goodbye to pixellated graphics and enjoy smooth text and icons on the camera’s menus, now presented on a LCD screen.
For users who struggle to find images on increasingly-large capacity memory cards, improved image searching capabilities will come in very handy. Now, searching through thousands of images can take seconds, not minutes. Once you’ve found the shots, it’s easy to put them in to a photobook using the Photobook Assist function where the camera creates the book, tags the images.
EXR Array Technology
The EXR technology adds further versatility by modifying its behaviour according to the lighting condition. Users can either let the EXR Auto mode to choose the correct setting itself, or pick from three manually selected options:
·         Resolution Priority mode should be chosen when you’re after exceptional image quality. The FinePix F550 EXR uses the full 16 megapixel resolution to produce images that can be printed out at A3 size straight from the camera.
·         High ISO & Low Noise Priority mode is the one to choose in low light conditions where the combination with the BSI sensor makes for superb results. To achieve this, the F550 EXR uses Pixel Fusion where it doubles the size of the pixels to make them more sensitive to light.
·         Finally, Dynamic Range Priority mode cleverly takes two pictures and combines them to provide a range of up to 1600%. This makes light work of scenes with lots of contrast such as a landscape on a summer’s day or a portrait where the light source is behind the subject.
With these unique sensor combinations, capturing great pictures has never been easier.
Keep up with the action — no matter how fast it’s moving
The FinePix F550 EXR isn’t just clever; it’s quick as well, boasting a range of features that will keep pace with even the fastest moving action without compromising picture quality.
At full 16 megapixel resolution, the FinePix F550 EXR will deliver up to 8 frames per second for up to 8 frames before it has to pause to take a breath. If you want a longer burst of images or a faster frame rate, it can capture 11 frames per second at 8 megapixel resolution for up to 16 frames or the same frame rate for up to 32 frames at 4 megapixel resolution. At these sorts of speeds and resolutions, no other compact camera comes close.
There’s also no need to worry about slow auto focusing or shutter lag conspiring against you; the F550 EXR’s contrast AF system takes no longer than 0.16 seconds to focus. So, it’s more likely to be human reactions that fail before the camera, but the F550 EXR even has that eventually covered as well with the Best Frame Capture Mode. Here, the camera starts recording images from the moment you half-press the shutter release to focus. When you do take a picture, the F550 EXR also capture eight frames before or after you’ve taken the shot to make sure you get one perfect image. Friends and family will think you’ve turned into a professional sports photographer overnight.
A Fujifilm first — built-in GPS
Fujifilm recognised the benefits of GPS tagging way back in 1997 when they became the first company to introduce an optional GPS recording device for a digital camera on the DS-300. Today, the FinePix F550 EXR becomes the first Fujifilm model to have the facility built in and offers a wide range of user benefits to make the most of the technology.
Regardless of where you are in the world, the FinePix F550 EXR will recognise your location and display it either as longitude and latitude or by place name thanks to the camera’s embedded 0.5 million list of locations. A tag is also placed on the image which, when using place names, can easily be searched for, enabling you to quickly find shots of a specific location or point of interest.
Once images are found using the search function, it’s simple for users to create a photobook using the Photobook Assist function. Just choose the images you want in the book, mark them (including which image you want to use on the front cover) and then you can even preview the book on the rear LCD.
Additional functionality is also provided by the Photo Navigation function, where you can find your way back to where a photo was taken. For example, if you took a shot at a restaurant that you’d like to return to, simply find the picture and the FinePix F550 EXR will provide the distance and direction you need to travel from your existing location to get back there.
For those who want to re-trace their steps and map a route of their travels, the Route Logging function is sure to appeal. The FinePix F550 EXR stores location data every 10 minutes*1 and, once the images are downloaded to a PC through MyFinePix Studio (bundled image viewing software), a map of the route, along with the pictures you took along the way is created using Google Maps.
Huge zoom range, tiny camera
It’s a minor miracle that Fujifilm has managed to pack such a high level specification into the FinePix F550 EXR’s compact dimensions, but it’s even more impressive that the camera also features a 15x optical zoom.
Despite having a body that measures just 22.9 mm wide, the zoom range extends from a wide-angle setting of 24 mm through to 360 mm (35 mm equivalents) giving users a huge range of shooting options from sweeping landscapes through to tightly-cropped details. Plus, image quality and sharpness is assured thanks to the Fujinon lens and new dual core EXR processor that automatically reduces colour fringing and boosts corner resolution for uniform image sharpness.
Using the longer focal lengths can cause camera shake, but the FinePix F550 EXR has the bases covered fighting camera shake on three fronts. First, the sensor moves to counter any hand movements. Second, sensitivity is boosted using Pixel Fusion to allow faster shutter speeds and third, especially for F550 EXR, “Advanced anti blur” mode in EXR Auto (need for the users to select EXR Auto) where a sequence of four images are taken and then combined to provide one, to realize shake-free result (camera will decide automatically according to the shooting scenes).
Full HD for stunning movies
Fujifilm recognises that the world doesn’t just revolve around still images, which is why the FinePix F550 EXR features high quality Full HD movie capability especially under low light condition with Pixel Fusion Movie technology. Here, pixels are doubled up to make them more sensitive to low light so it is perfect for the night scenery! Not only does the FinePix F550 EXR capture movies in stunning Full HD at 30 frames per second, it also boasts stereo sound for high quality audio and the industry standard H.264 (MOV) format. Favoured by broadcasters and Blu-Ray manufacturers, H.264 (MOV) format produces file sizes that are smaller and more manageable than the conventional AVI format. What’s more, they’re compatible with a wide range of websites and applications, which makes it easer for users to share content on sites including YouTube.
If it’s speedy movie capture you’re after, the F550 EXR also offers a class-leading selection of high speed movie capture options. F550 EXR’s incredible 320 frames per second capture at 320 x 112 pixels will be fast enough for any situation. But if it’s higher quality you’re after, you can also capture the action at 160 frames per second at 320 x 240 pixels or 80 frames per second at 640 x 480 pixels.
Don’t want GPS? No problem
While the FinePix F550 EXR with its GPS features is a great camera for photographers who like to travel, Fujifilm recognises that not every user requires GPS functionality. For this reason, a second model — the FinePix F500 EXR — has been introduced, which offers a virtually identical specification, without GPS.
Other differences between the two models include high speed capture on the F500 EXR of 3 frames per second at 16 megapixels for up to 3 frames, 6 frames per second for 6 frames at 8 megapixels or 12 frames per second for 12 frames at 4 megapixels. The F500 EXR will also be available in a choice of five colours for the style-conscious photographer, while the F550 EXR is only available in a stylish black finish with red highlights.

16MP Back Side Illuminated CMOS Sensor

3″ 460K Resolution Tilting LCD Screen

30x Fujinon Optical 24-720mm Equivalent Zoom Lens

From Zoom to Super-Wide Angle

With just a twist of the lens barrel, the manual zoom instantly takes you from 24mm wide-angle landscapes to super 30x telephoto close-up of distant wildlife. Select the remarkable 1cm Super Macro Mode and ordinary subjects like flowers or even a raindrop become extraordinary photos. No bulky lenses to carry around and you don’t need to worry about getting dust on the lens or sensor. With the sealed integrated lens design, you enjoy “all in one” convenience and breathtaking Fujinon optical quality across the entire zoom range!
High-Precision Molded Glass Aspheric Lens
By precisely focusing light at the same point on the focal plane, aspheric lens design eliminates the need for additional corrective lens elements. While this lens reduces distortion at wide angles, improves resolution in both center and edge areas, cuts glare and reflections, and minimizes chromatic aberration throughout the zoom range, the lens also makes possible a lighter and more compact design.
FUJINON Lens Optical Excellence
Acclaimed by imaging professionals, Fujinon molds its high-precision aspheric lenses from extra-low dispersion glass to deliver superior resolution and low color aberration, and applies an originally developed Super Electronic Beam Coating to minimize ghosting, flare and purple fringe.
1 cm Super Macro
Sets an accurate focus moving in as close as approx. 1cm (0.4-inch). Impressive full-frame close-ups can be taken.
CMOS Shift Image Stabilization
Long telephoto shots usually suffer from camera shake and subject movement which can ruin photos by producing blurred results. The FinePix HS20EXR’s highly effective CMOS-shift and high ISO image stabilization ensures that your shots stay extra-crisp and clear, even at the full 30x zoom.
High Speed Shooting Functions
High speed auto focus brings the subject into focus in as little as 0.160 seconds, and ensures that each frame in your burst sequence is captured in sharp clarity, and the HS20EXR never misses the decisive moment, capturing the action at almost 8fps at full 16MP resolution (max. 8 frames) or shoot at 11fps at 4 megapixel resolution (max. 32 frames). The high-performance EXR CMOS sensor provides a range of burst shooting options from 12fps at 4 megapixels (max. 12 frames). Sometimes things happen too fast for you to see them properly with your own eyes–the FinePix HS20EXR can freeze the action at up to an amazing 320fps in video mode! So you can see every single minute detail and watch things happening step by step in slow motion.
Best Frame Capture Mode
Timing your shot is ever so easy with Best Frame Capture. Half-press the shutter and the FinePix HS20EXR starts recording photos at 11fps at 8 megapixel resolution. When the moment happens, fully press the shutter button and the camera captures up to 16 frames including pre-recorded frames, giving you the opportunity to select the best shot.
Super Intelligent Flash
Take flash-assisted shots without flash washout. This new generation Super Intelligent Flash system ensures that all subjects are captured in bright clear detail over the full flash range (even in macro shots).
1080p FULL HD Movie
The FinePix HS20EXR maximizes high sensitivity to capture exceptionally crisp and colorful full HD video (1080p; 30fps/High Profile) with impressive stereo sound, even in low-light conditions. EXR realizes the H.264 format, incorporating both high quality image and small data size. Manually select Film Simulation and produce various color expressions. A one-touch movie record button enables you to capture all the action in full HD.

New Advances in RP (Real Photo) Technology

EXR Pixel Array & Color Array – Only Fujifilm
The new BSI (Back Side Illuminated) EXR CMOS sensor is a ground-breaking breakthrough in image quality. 16 megapixels is impressive and delivers a leap in resolution, but the real difference is in the technology. The unique EXR pixel and color arrays are key to image quality. Rotated by 45 degrees, the EXR pixel array increases both horizontal and vertical resolution. By using the diagonally-aligned twin pixels of the same color, the sensor can switch between HR (High Resolution), DR (Wide Dynamic Range) and SN (High Sensitivity and Low Noise) modes depending on the scene, ensuring that every moment is captured with the highest image quality.
High Resolution (16 Megapixels)
Just as your eyes see even the tiniest of details when looking at something in good light, HR (High Resolution) mode maximizes the full 16 megapixel resolution of the FinePix HS20EXR to reproduce even the smallest details in bright, beautiful color.
Wide Dynamic Range 1600%
Just as your eyes see the full range of shadows to highlights in high-contrast scenes, DR mode simultaneously captures two images to produce a single image with significantly enhanced dynamic range, revealing subtle details in shadow and eliminating washout of bright areas.
High Sensitivity & Low Noise
Just as your eyes strive to make dark scenes as bright and detailed as possible, SN mode takes advantage of high-sensitivity to capture smooth texture and natural brightness with minimal noise.
The CMOS Edge
Adoption of a high-speed transfer circuit architecture enables fast data signal readout, which in turn makes the new high speed movie possible along with the high speed continuous shooting functions.
BSI (Back Side Illuminated) CMOS
The BSI (Back Side Illuminated) sensor structure moves the wiring to the back side of the sensor, vastly improving sensitivity and reducing noise.
EXR Processor
Harnessing the high-speed performance of the BSI EXR CMOS sensor, the Dual CPU, EXR Core and Reconfigurable Processor power a host of functions including high-sensitivity HD movies and continuous shooting as well as expanded scene recognition and Pro Modes while the new Vector Graphics Accelerator drives the enhanced image quality of the rich GUI.

EXR AUTO Recognizes 27 Scenes

Advanced Scene Recognition
With the ability to identify 27 basic types of scene and then check whether or not a person is present and how much light is available, EXR AUTO is able to identify exactly what type of scene you are shooting and optimizes exposure, white balance, focus, color and tonality accordingly. What’s more it records this data and lets you search through your photos by scene type (eg: night portrait, or Macro) enabling you to find the pictures you are after quickly and easily.
Three-Sensors-in-One
The uniqueness of an EXR sensor is its ability to adapt its settings to the demands of the shot. With three modes to choose from, it is unlike any other sensor on the market and is only available on Fujifilm cameras. EXR AUTO selects the optimum sensor mode automatically. With three modes to choose from: HR, SN and DR. HR: High Resolution mode is perfect for well lit conditions and uses all 16 megapixels. SN: High Sensitivity and Low Noise mode is designed for use at night or in dark conditions and it halves the number of pixels to create 8 mega super pixels which are extra sensitive to light. DR: Dynamic Range mode is suited to high-contrast conditions where you have both bright sunlight and dark shadows present. It works by combining one high-exposure and one low-exposure shot to create an 8 megapixel image with detail in both the highlights and in the shadows.

Sky & Greenery x HR
Automatically recognizes the vivid colors of the azure sky and the green grass as it is optimized even more with the EXR sensor mode of High Resolution for bright scene to capture every finest detail of the scene.
Loads of Shooting Modes
Natural Light, Natural Light & with Flash, Portrait, Portrait enhancer, Dog, Cat, Landscape, Sport, Night, Night (Tripod), Fireworks, Sunset, Snow, Beach, Underwater, Party, Flower, Text, plus Mode dial has EXR, P, S, A, M, SP, Adv, and AUTO settings.
Face Detection/Recognition + Dog/Cat Detection
Face Detection optimizes people pictures by detecting faces and adjusting focus and exposure to ensure bright, clear results. The Face Detection can simultaneously recognizes up to 10 faces in a photo. Share your group portraits using the zoom up function in playbacks, checking each detected face. Each priceless expression can be cropped and saved in clear high resolution results. The FinePix HS20EXR not only detects faces in a frame but it can also recognize who is who! You can register up to 8 people in your camera and next time you take a photo of them it will bring up their name and optimize settings in favor of your registered faces. In playback, you can search for all photos containing registered faces to quickly find photos of your favorites. Red-eye removal automatically detects and corrects flash reflection for a perfect end result. By incorporating Dog / Cat Detection function, the FinePix HS20EXR is able to detect dog or cat faces*, optimizing focus and exposure for pet photos that will delight everyone. An auto-release function can also be selected to automatically shoot the photo when the pet is looking directly at the camera.
Smile/Blink Detection
Smile Detection recognizes the moment your subject smiles and releases the shutter only when this happens, ensuring a happy photo every time. Additionally, the Blink Detection function warns you if any of your subjects have blinked so that you can re-take the photo if necessary.
i-Flash Intelligent Flash
A flash control system which efficiently controls the level of flash for a given exposure to produce beautifully balanced flash illumination across the foreground and background. Gone are the ugly washout shots where the subject is blasted with light and the background is too dark.
Tracking Auto Focus (AF)
Tracks fast moving subjects so they don’t escape from the frame in a blur. Subjects will be tracked automatically for as long as it is kept in the frame and the shutter is half-pressed; when users fully press the shutter button your subject will be in the centre of the photo in perfect focus.
Motion Panorama Mode
Lets you take panorama photos as simply as 1, 2, 3! The camera automatically stitches together three consecutive shots, with simple in-frame guidance to ensure the images are aligned. The resulting image is saved to the memory card as an impressive panorama.
Pro Focus Mode with Face Detection
This focus-bracketing mode emulates the gentle, out-of-focus background look of a DSLR when shooting portraits or macro subjects. A single press of the shutter first takes an exposure focused on the main subject, then additional exposures at different focus points. This produces a final image emphasizing the sharply focused subject against a soft, out-of-focus background.
Pro Low-Light Mode
Ideal for shooting non-moving subjects in low light, this mode automatically takes a series of four high-sensitivity & low-noise exposures and then combines them into an image with less noise than the single exposures.
Film Simulation Mode
Simulate the distinctive look of 5 different types of film (Provia/Standard, Velvia/Vivid, Astia/Soft, Black & White, Sepia) with just a touch of a button. Modeled on Fujifilm brands loved by professional photographers, each breathes life into your image with a quality that previously only film could capture.
Three Bracketing Functions
Film Simulation Bracketing–One press of the shutter produces three images of PROVIA, Velvia and ASTIA modes. AE Bracketing–Continuous capture of three frames with exposure range of up to ±1.0EV. Dynamic Range Bracketing–One press of the shutter produces three images in a different dynamic range (100%, 200%, 400%).
Operations for Quick Responsive Environment
Quick and easy setup of command buttons for your shooting needs in responsive environment. One hand for mode and the command dial with other for direct shooting controls. Fingers naturally find their way to ergonomically slanted mode and command controls. Quickly access and adjust the camera settings and controls with direct shooting command buttons conveniently located to the left of the LCD (ISO, AE, AF, WB, AF C/S/M, Movie Record buttons). A histogram and horizon level display are always available. There’s also a one-touch RAW button for quickly adding a RAW image to your JPEG.
